Our laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 for feed sample analysis. Further, if you wish to swab test specific areas we are confident we can be of service to you.
Swab testing for Salmonella in storage areas is now part of the Approved Code of Practice. Section 7.3 of the Code of Practice lists areas that should be considered for routine monitoring of Salmonella. These include storage building walls, ledges, floors, loading equipment, weighing equipment, buckets and vehicle bodies of loading shovels.
Knowing you can demonstrate your storage facility is Salmonella free can often be helpful if a commodity subsequently tests positive for Salmonella.
Compliance Kit
We can provide you with a Cheshire Scientific Compliance Kit. This kit contains everything you need to test for Salmonella. The swabs come in a handy transport box for delivery back to ourselves here at the lab. Simply note the point from where the sample was swabbed and, following analysis, we will email you a copy of your report. Of course, if you need a hard copy sent to you, then this will be arranged.
The box is fully postage paid and has a plastic cover for protection. If you are an existing client the swab testing will be added to you monthly invoice. If you are new to Cheshire Scientific we will send you a proforma invoice together with an application form.
Our compliance kits are competitively priced, and the price per sample includes the sterile swab, the analysis and the package return postage. It really couldn’t be simpler.
