Why “minimum charges” don’t sit right with us

As your invoices for January start to drop into your inboxes why not give them a close inspection, has your £20 test rolled up to a £250 minimum?

Too often, a low headline price hides a very different reality.
Minimum tests, minimum samples, minimum invoices all quietly stacking up until a “cheap” test turns into an expensive bill that makes it impossible for you to either quote or operate competitively.

We don’t believe customers should pay more simply because their requirement is smaller than others.

That’s why we don’t apply minimum charges for any of the quasi bands that other labs have set. Minimum test charge, minimum sample charge, minimum job charge, minimum invoice charge … all this means maximum profit for labs and minimum margins for you.
At Cheshire Scientific you pay for the testing you actually need -no inflated thresholds, no artificial uplifts, no surprises at invoice stage. Don’t forget there’s that cheeky little sample disposal charge often sneaked in below the radar too.

Always compare apples with apples. Because a cheap test doesn’t always mean that’s what you’ll be charged!
