From 1 July, getting water samples to our laboratory becomes simpler than ever, with the launch of a nationwide network of eight drop box locations across the UK.

For anyone responsible for managing water systems, the challenge has rarely been the testing itself, it is getting a sample to an accredited laboratory quickly, reliably, and in a condition suitable for analysis. Booking couriers, navigating collection windows, and relying on postal services introduces uncertainty at precisely the point where consistency matters most.

Cheshire Scientific's new drop box network has been designed to remove that uncertainty. Samples left at a local drop box are routed directly to our UKAS-accredited laboratory in Bromborough for analysis, giving customers the same trusted, accredited results with a considerably more convenient journey to get there.

A growing national network

The network builds on our existing presence in Birmingham, Watford and Clerkenwell, and expands from today with five further locations.

Each location has been selected to bring accredited water testing within easier reach of the sectors we serve most closely, water hygiene contractors, Legionella risk assessors, pool and leisure operators, facilities managers, and social landlords among them.

Same-day laboratory delivery

Each drop box operates to a published cut-off time. Samples deposited before the local cut-off will reach our laboratory in Bromborough the same day, ready to enter our analysis process without the delay a next-day collection or postal service can introduce. Cut-off times vary by location; customers can confirm the cut-off for their nearest drop box by contacting our team directly.

No change to the service you rely on

The drop box network is an additional route to our laboratory, not a replacement for the standards our customers already expect from us. No minimum charges, personalised service, and the same accredited testing and reporting standards remain unchanged. This is simply a further option for getting samples to us, tailored to how our customers actually work.
